Scarlet Row​

Compositionally the building is organised as a stone plinth supporting seven overhanging brick elements The taller brick element is topped with a private garden reminiscent of the Torre Guingini, Lucca. Organisationally, the building comprises three ranges of accommodation around a central galleried hall.The ranges comprise the seven brick three storey elements containing duplexes, a four storey courtyard range containing one bed south facing apartments Two bedroom dual aspect apartments also occur. Horizontal access to individual homes on each floor is by open balcony within the galleried hall the roof of which opens in warm weather and through which the sun shines casting memorable shadows in this entrance hall volume.
